November ushers in the much-anticipated International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2025, Goa, scheduled from November 20 to 28. The lineup for the 56th edition features several exciting Hindi films, including gala premieres set to light up the festival at the picturesque Inox Panjim.
The festival opens with the dystopian drama The Blue Trail, Brazil’s official submission for the 98th Academy Awards and winner of the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival.
Among the highlights are several high-profile premieres with star-studded appearances. Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders, the sequel to the popular 2020 Netflix film, will be screened on November 21, featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte, Chitrangada Singh, Rajat Kapoor, Deepti Naval, Ila Arun, and Revathy.
Gustaakh Ishq, starring Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh, will have its world premiere at IFFI on November 24, ahead of its worldwide release on November 28. Vadh 2, featuring Neena Gupta and Sanjay Mishra, is set for a premiere on November 23, before its official release on February 6, 2026.Highly awaited releases like The Family Man Season 3 and Farhan Akhtar’s 120 Bahadur will both premiere on November 21.
The Dhanush-Kriti Sanon starrer Tere Ishk Mein will debut on the festival’s closing day, November 28, coinciding with its release. Another notable premiere is Calorie, starring Anupam Kher and Dolly Ahluwalia, to be showcased on November 23 prior to its Canadian release.Classic cult films also grace the festival—Sholay will be screened on November 26 as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, with its restored version debuting in India on the grand Screen 1 of Inox Panjim.
Other Noteworthy Screenings and Events
IFFI will also screen memorable Hindi classics such as Dr Kotnis Ki Amar Kahani (Nov 21), Rudaali (Nov 22), Umrao Jaan (Nov 21), Gaman (Nov 22), CID (Nov 24), Pyaasa (Nov 24), and Ek Doctor Ki Maut (Nov 22).New Hindi films from 2025 like Su From So (Nov 24), Tanvi The Great (Nov 21), Ground Zero (Nov 21), Chhaava (Nov 23), and The Bengal Files (Nov 21) will be screened, followed by Q&A sessions with filmmakers. Kesari Chapter 2 will also be shown on November 27, though it’s unclear whether the director will participate in a post-screening interaction.
