Salman Khan’s 60th birthday celebration at his Panvel farmhouse, located on Mumbai’s outskirts, was a relatively low-key affair. Among the distinguished guests was cricket legend M.S. Dhoni, who attended alongside his wife.
“They stayed for quite some time, and Dhoni even danced to Salman’s songs,” a prominent guest shared on Saturday morning. “The party wrapped up earlier, but some guests are still staying over at the farmhouse. Dhoni and his wife, however, left for Mumbai after the festivities.”
A director friend described the gathering as “subdued but fun.” Despite plenty of drinks flowing, Salman himself refrained from alcohol, repeatedly saying, “I can’t believe I’m 60. I don’t feel it.” Guests reassured him that he certainly didn’t look his age.
Salman’s parents, though elderly and initially hesitant to travel, made the trip to Panvel for the special day. Salim Khan, Salman’s father, humorously proclaimed he was celebrating both Christmas and his son’s birthday, donning a Santa cap to mark the occasion.
The guest list was modest for such a milestone birthday, partly because Salman’s fellow superstars Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are away on New Year vacations. Aamir expressed his wish to attend but was tied up with prior commitments.
At the same time, it is worth noting hat the absent were some of Salman’s closest director friends, including Kabir Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Ali Abbas Zafar—filmmakers who have played key roles in his career.
