In December last year, Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki” and Prabhas’ “Salaar” clashed at the box office in a high-voltage showdown. In terms of budget, “Dunki” was a cost-effective venture, with a reported budget of 120 crores, solidifying its box office success. On the other hand, “Salaar” was mounted on a significant budget of 350 crores, making it a theatrical success in India with substantial global returns.

Turning to IMDb ratings, “Dunki” secured a rating of 7.2 out of 10, based on 62,000 user votes, while “Salaar” attained a rating of 6.5 out of 10, with a vote share of 58,000. Furthermore, on Rotten Tomatoes, “Dunki” has an audience score of 76% and a Tomatometer rating of 53%, whereas “Salaar” enjoys an audience score of 86% and a Tomatometer rating of 73%.

The clash between “Dunki” and “Salaar” captivated the industry, with both films boasting compelling factors. “Dunki” marked a significant milestone as the debut collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani, igniting fervent anticipation among Bollywood enthusiasts.
