On Thursday evening, the highly anticipated second teaser of the web series Dune: Prophecy was unveiled. This 1-minute-10-seconds long teaser of the HBO original not only expands on the Dune films but also provides a glimpse of Tabu’s much-awaited first look in the series as Sister Francesca. Dune: Prophecy takes viewers back thousands of years before the events of the Dune films and delves into the world of the Bene Gesserit. In the teaser, Emily Watson’s character, Valya Harkonnen, declares, “Sacrifices must be made.” The video showcases how the Bene Gesserit train their sisters to wield power and master complete control over their minds. Despite their influence over those in power, the sisterhood still faces significant obstacles on their path to becoming the powerhouse depicted in the films, with those in positions of authority resisting their control.
Tabu’s powerful first look in the series is briefly showcased in the teaser. Dressed in black, donning a cape, and standing with her arms folded, she exudes an aura of strength as she stares directly into the camera. While her character has no lines in the teaser, her costume signifies her commanding presence. Audiences eagerly anticipate further promotional materials that may unveil her role in the power struggle within the Imperium. In a previous Variety report from May, Tabu’s character was described as “strong, intelligent, and alluring.” Check the second teaser as under:
