Meanwhile, Baap stars Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty, and Jackie Shroff, directed by Vivek Singh Chauhan. Although delayed, Ahmed explained, “Post-production is intensive—it took nine months due to heavy action sequences. Zee Studios, our partners, are handling it and will announce the release date soon. Honestly, we’ve been pestering them non-stop about when the film will hit theaters!” (laughs)When asked if Baap will release after Sunny Deol’s much-anticipated Border 2, Ahmed confirmed, “Yes, and all four actors portray really cool characters. It’s the first time they appear together onscreen, and the film has full retro vibes.”
Remembering Saroj Khan
On November 22, Ahmed paid tribute to his mentor, the legendary choreographer Saroj Khan, on her birth anniversary. He said, “She’s etched in my heart. Some people you never forget—they guide you. They show you the path, but learning to walk it is crucial. Saroj ji was that guiding light for me. Even today, whenever I’m stuck, I close my eyes and ask myself, ‘What would Saroj ji have done here?’ and somehow, I find my answer. I’m truly blessed to have worked with her.
