The much-anticipated Border 2 teaser launch saw the presence of Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, producer Bhushan Kumar, Nidhi Dutta, and director Anurag Singh as they shared exciting insights about one of 2026’s biggest films. A conversation about Border would be incomplete without mentioning its iconic songs, which remain memorable to this day. The teaser showcases a recreated version of ‘Hindustan
Hindustan,’ while producer Bhushan Kumar confirmed that a remixed version of the legendary track ‘Sandese Aate Hai’ will also feature in Border 2’s soundtrack. Bhushan Kumar revealed, “For Sandese Aate Hai, we’ve brought in additional singers this time. We’re launching the song on January 2 at Longewala, right on the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan, alongside the armed forces. It’s a very special song for us. We’ve worked hard to retain the original’s emotion while giving it a contemporary sound.” Notably, the original Border (1997) was based on the Battle of Longewala from 1971.
At the event’s start, Bhushan Kumar acknowledged the film’s roots: “Credit goes to J P Dutta sir. When Nidhi approached me with the idea to make Border 2, we all felt the deep emotion connected to the original film. That’s why we collectively decided to make this sequel.”He also praised Sunny Deol’s dedication: “Without Sunny sir, Border 2 wouldn’t be possible.
His hard work and devotion have been extraordinary. I’m truly grateful. ”Bhushan expressed his excitement about the film’s emotional impact and commended the performances: “Anurag, Varun, Ahan, and the entire team have done a fantastic job. I often tell Varun’s father, David Dhawan, that Varun’s performance is unlike anything he’s done before.” Finally, he thanked director Anurag Singh, saying, “Thank you, Anurag, for your extensive work. The whole T-Series team is thrilled to be part of this incredible film.” Border 2 is set to hit theatres on January 23, 2026. Stay tuned for more only with us!
