BURGER KING, a quick-service restaurant, has partnered with ZEE5 to celebrate the launch of its latest film, Detective Sherdil. Directed by Ravi Chhabriya, the movie stars Diljit Dosanjh as a detective tackling unusual cases with comedic twists, alongside a cast that includes Boman Irani, Diana Penty, Chunky Panday, and Banita Sandhu. The project merges food and entertainment, aligning with the film’s light-hearted theme. Detective Sherdil premieres on ZEE5 on June 20, 2025, and is produced by AAZ Films and Offside Entertainment, presented by Maurya Entertainment Production.
As part of this collaboration, BURGER KING India has launched a limited-time ‘Detective Sherdil Combo’, inspired by Diljit Dosanjh’s character. The combo includes a Veg or Chicken Whopper Jr. with Cheese, Saucy Fries, and a Chocolate Thick Shake, all priced at ₹299. This offering aims to connect with Gen Z consumers and is available at all BURGER KING outlets.
Also, BURGER KING is launching a social media campaign to engage fans and movie audiences. As part of a user-generated content (UGC) challenge, participants can create memes using stills from Detective Sherdil featuring the cast. This campaign encourages interaction ahead of the film’s release, with prizes for selected entries.
