Last week on March 16, the popular Bollywood website Bollywood Hungama reported that the release date for Sikandar would be announced soon alongside a poster. Just two days later, we revealed the exciting news that the film is set to hit theaters on Sunday, March 30. Following this, the makers officially confirmed the release date with a poster.
Now, it has been confirmed that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved both the theatrical trailer and the final cut of the film as of March 21. The theatrical trailer runs for 3 minutes and 38 seconds, while the film itself has a runtime of 150.8 minutes (2 hours, 30 minutes, and 8 seconds).
Both the trailer and the film received a UA 13+ certificate from the CBFC, making Sikandar a unique case, as both were approved on the same day. With the CBFC process complete, all eyes are now on the trailer, which is set to be unveiled on Sunday, March 30. Additionally, with the film receiving its certification, theaters are now open for advance bookings.

Another noteworthy aspect of Sikandar is its Sunday release. A source shared with Bollywood Hungama, “The makers are confident that Sunday is the right day for release. It will be a major holiday, especially in Maharashtra, as Gudi Padwa falls on that day. Additionally, Ramzan Eid will be celebrated on Monday, March 31. There will be a post-Eid holiday effect on Tuesday, April 1, and Wednesday, April 2, in many centers as well. As a result, we expect a significant boost in collections starting from Friday, April 4, ensuring that the film’s earnings will remain strong until Sunday, April 6.
