The vertical seeks to guide artists with long-term career vision while opening doors to diverse creative and commercial opportunities.Leading this initiative is Mohammed Nagman Lateef, a seasoned industry professional with over 11 years of experience in talent management and entertainment strategy.
Formerly the founder and head of Iconic Entertainment, Nagman is known for his progressive approach to artist representation and career-led management. His appointment signals Balaji Telefilms’ commitment to a more structured, forward-thinking talent management framework.
Ekta Kapoor, Joint Managing Director of Balaji Telefilms, shared the vision behind Hoonur:
“At Balaji, we have always believed that every artist deserves the right environment to grow. Talent thrives when supported by a platform that understands its individuality and long-term potential. With Hoonur, we are creating a curated space where artists receive focused attention, strategic guidance, and opportunities aligned with who they are and where they can go. It’s about shaping meaningful journeys, not just managing assignments.”
Hoonur already represents a growing roster of talent across television and digital platforms, including names like Madalsa Sharma, Sahil Uppal, Rohit Chandel, Simba Nagpal, Tejasswi Prakash, and Shubhangi Atre.
Several artists under Hoonur’s management are also featured in The 50, one of India’s most anticipated upcoming reality TV formats. Talent from the vertical appearing on the show includes Urvashi Dholakia, Ridhi Dogra, Shiv Thakre, and Shiny Doshi.
Nitin Burman, Chief Revenue Officer of Balaji Telefilms, highlighted the broader industry impact: “The industry today is moving toward deeper collaboration between content, platforms, and brands, with talent at the center of that ecosystem. Hoonur allows us to approach these relationships more cohesively and with a long-term perspective. By aligning talent closely with our content and digital network, we strengthen partnership building, audience engagement, and value creation across the ecosystem.”
