In a recent chat with Raj Shamani, Farhan Akhtar shared intriguing insights about the potential sequel. He revealed that any discussions regarding a follow-up to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara should be directed to Zoya Akhtar, the film’s director. Farhan humorously stated that he would be “willing to give his left arm” to be a part of the sequel. He also mentioned that fellow cast members Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, and Abhay Deol have all urged Zoya to consider the project, but she is waiting for the right inspiration to come along.
The film follows three friends, portrayed by Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, and Abhay Deol, who embark on an unforgettable road trip across Spain as part of a bachelor party. Throughout their journey, each character confronts personal fears and unresolved issues, leading to profound growth and self-discovery. The ensemble cast also includes Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin in pivotal roles, adding depth to the narrative.
Zoya Akhtar has previously confirmed that the original trio—Hrithik, Farhan, and Abhay—are eager to reunite for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara 2. She noted that discussions about a sequel are frequent among the cast, with everyone expressing genuine interest. “That film meant a lot to us, so if we find the right essence for a second part, we will definitely make it,” Zoya stated. She emphasized that they are not pursuing a sequel merely for financial reasons, understanding that the audience has specific expectations for a follow-up, and they are committed to meeting those expectations to ensure satisfaction.
