We’ve just learned that the first track from Kareena Kapoor Khan’s upcoming investigative thriller, The Buckingham Murders, is titled “Sada Pyaar Tut Gaya.” Although specifics about the song remain under wraps, the announcement has already generated a buzz among fans. The Buckingham Murders is set to hit theaters on September 13, 2024, and has already garnered praise from audiences following its global premiere at the BFI London Film Festival 2023.On August 20, 2024, the filmmakers unveiled the highly anticipated teaser for the movie.
The teaser opens with a shocking scene involving the murder of a young child from an Indian family in a park, igniting widespread outrage and protests. In her role as a detective, Kareena Kapoor Khan takes on the challenge of uncovering the motive behind this heinous crime and identifying the culprit. The teaser’s dark and gripping tone provides a fresh perspective on the thriller genre. Previously, The Buckingham Murders was showcased at the 2023 Mumbai Film Festival, held at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in October. This film marks Kareena Kapoor Khan’s first collaboration with director Hansal Mehta, and she has also taken on the role of co-producer. In an interview earlier this year, Kareena expressed her enthusiasm for portraying this character, noting it was her first experience as a detective and reflecting her love for crime dramas. Despite the role’s challenges, particularly the character’s grief, which made her uncomfortable, she found the experience incredibly fulfilling. Kareena described this role as career-defining and one of her best performances.

She even suggested to the director the possibility of expanding the project into a four-part series, expressing her reluctance to part with the character. The Buckingham Murders is slated for an exclusive theatrical release on September 13, 2024. The film features a talented cast, including Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen. Directed by Hansal Mehta and written by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker, it is produced by Mahana Films and TBM Films, presented by Balaji Telefilms, and produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R. Kapoor.In addition to this project, Kareena will also appear in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, which is set to be released in theaters during Diwali 2024.
