Atlee’s films are designed for a larger audience. This is evident in his filmography, which includes films like Theri, Mersal, and Bigil.  Jawan is Atlee’s latest film, and it is no different. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan in a triple role, and it is packed with action, comedy, and romance. It is clear that Atlee has designed Jawan to be a crowd-pleaser.

However, the film does have its flaws. For example, Shah Rukh Khan’s dubbing in the Hindi version is a bit excessive. However, these flaws are minor compared to the film’s many strengths. Jawan is a fun and entertaining film that is sure to please fans of masala cinema. He has a knack for combining different genres and tones into a single cohesive story. This is evident in films like Theri, Mersal, and Bigil, which all blend action, comedy, and drama. In Jawan, Atlee continues this trend by combining action, comedy, and romance. The film also features a triple role for Shah Rukh Khan, which adds another layer of complexity.

Shah Rukh Khan gives his best performance in commercial cinema.  In Jawan, he takes it to the next level by portraying multiple characters. He brings each character to life with deftness and nuance, and he is never less than believable. Nayanthara is also excellent in the film. She has a strong screen presence and she is able to hold her own against Shah Rukh Khan. She is particularly good in the action sequences, where she shows off her skills as a martial artist.

Vijay Sethupathi is a bit underutilized in the film. He is a talented actor who is capable of much more than what he is given to do here. However, even with the limited screen time he has, he makes an impression. The supporting cast is also good, but they are not given much to do. Sanya Malhotra and Sunil Grover are both capable actors, but they are relegated to bit roles. Deepika Padukone makes a special appearance as a 90s seductress, and she looks stunning.

Overall, Jawan is a masala entertainer that is sure to please fans of the genre. It is not a perfect film, but it is a lot of fun and it is sure to leave you entertained.
