Shah Rukh Khan has done it again! His latest film, Jawan, has shattered all records to become the biggest opening ever for a Hindi-language film. The film, which was released on Friday, September 8, 2023, collected an estimated ₹75 crore (US$10 million) on its opening day. This is more than the opening day collections of Pathaan (₹57 crore) and Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti 2 (₹53.35 crore). Jawan’s worldwide opening is even more impressive. The film has grossed an estimated ₹129.6 crore (US$16.5 million) in its first three days. This makes it the best-ever Hindi opener at the global box office.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared on Twitter that Jawan has created history by becoming the biggest opener for a Hindi film in India.
The film collected ₹65.50 crore on its opening day, which is 19.09% higher than the opening day collection of Pathaan. Jawan has also surpassed the opening day collections of KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi), War, and TOH.
