Alia Bhatt’s latest film “Jigra” has arrived on Netflix, but it has received a lukewarm response from viewers so far. The film, which debuted on the streaming platform on December 6th, has failed to crack the top 10 list of best-performing female-led Hindi film debuts on Netflix. According to Netflix data from December 2nd to December 8th, “Jigra” garnered 1.9 million views, translating to 5 million viewing hours. This performance has earned it the 7th spot in the global list of top 10 trending non-English films on Netflix during that period.
While the film has managed to surpass the opening-week viewership of Divya Khosla Kumar’s “Savi,” which earned 1.8 million views, it has narrowly missed out on the 10th spot on the list of top 10 female-led Hindi film debuts on Netflix this year. That spot is currently held by Janhvi Kapoor’s “Ulajh,” which earned 2 million views in its debut week.To enter the list of top 10 most-viewed female-led Hindi films of 2024 on Netflix, “Jigra” would need to garner an additional 3.4 million views, as the 10th spot is currently occupied by “Ulajh” with 5.3 million total views.
The other movies on OTT include the following:
- Crew: 17.9 Million
- Laapataa Ladies: 17.1 Million

Directed by Vasan Bala, “Jigra” also stars Vedang Raina and Manoj Pahwa alongside Alia Bhatt.
