This Independence Day eve witnessed the clash of OMG 2 and Gadar 2. The two sequels had a tough time at the Box office competing with each other. However, we saw the dominance of Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 at the box office. Yet OMG 2, starring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam Dhar, has performed well domestically. The dramedy saw strong growth over the weekend, followed by a solid hold on Monday. It benefited from the national holiday of Independence Day and saw its highest single-day collection on August 15th, with ₹17.10 crore.
The film’s total collection now stands at ₹72.27 crore. It is expected to surpass the box office collections of Bholaa (₹82.04 crore), Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (₹88 crore), and Satyaprem Ki Katha (₹77.55 crore) to become the eighth highest-grossing film of 2023. The top 7 films are:

This made the lead stars of the film including Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam and others to host a dinner for their special spectators. We can check the same happening there by the leading actors of the film. Although it may be trailing the Sunny Deol’s film, yet it is still early days for OMG 2, but it is off to a good start.
