Residential Societies Join Schools in Organizing Theatre Visits for 120 Bahadur

The war drama 120 Bahadur, produced by Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios and released on November 21, is steadily gaining momentum at the box office. Praised by critics, audiences, and industry insiders alike, the film’s impact is extending beyond typical moviegoers. Schools and residential societies are now organizing group visits to cinemas, embracing the film’s powerful story. Across various cities, schools have arranged special screenings for students, viewing 120 Bahadur as an educational opportunity to introduce young audiences to a significant chapter in India’s military history.

One cooperative housing society issued a notice encouraging residents to watch the film collectively, emphasizing the importance of honoring the bravery of the 13 Kumaon Regiment. This society booked a 9 PM screening at Rajhans Cinema for its members, reflecting a growing trend of community-led movie viewings.120 Bahadur tells the story of the valor displayed by 120 soldiers of the 13 Kumaon Regiment during the Battle of Rezang La in the 1962 war. Farhan Akhtar stars as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, the Param Vir Chakra recipient who led the troops. The film highlights the regiment’s unwavering spirit, embodied in the phrase “Hum Peechhe Nahin Hatenge,” capturing their determination against overwhelming odds.
