Saif Ali Khan recently announced the purchase of a luxurious residence at The St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island, located at The Pearl in Doha, Qatar. During a press event hosted by Alfardan Group, Saif expressed what drew him to the property, emphasizing Qatar’s safety, stunning scenery, and its convenient proximity to India. He described his experience there as feeling “safe” and like “a home away from home,” making it a perfect retreat for his family.
Saif shared his positive impressions of living in this property, explaining what makes it special. He stated, “When I think of a holiday home or second home, a few things come to mind. One is that it’s easily accessible and not too far away. The most important factor, however, is safety—it feels very good to be there. The concept of an island within an island is both luxurious and beautiful, making it a lovely place to live. The overall feeling, along with the views, food, lifestyle, and pace of living, were key factors in my decision.”Referring to the property as his “home away from home,” Saif elaborated, “I initially went there for work and during my stay, I found it amazing.
The blend of privacy and luxury really appealed to me. From the curated menu to the overall ambiance, it felt like home. The main draw is the peace and seclusion it offers, which is ideal for someone looking for that atmosphere.” He also expressed excitement about bringing his family, especially his children Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan, to their new home.In addition to his Doha property, Saif owns several other residences, including a Bandra apartment where he lives with his wife, actress Kareena Kapoor, and their sons.
He also has his ancestral Pataudi Palace and properties in London and Gstaad.Saif’s property acquisition comes just months after a traumatic incident on January 16, when he was attacked during an attempted robbery at his Bandra residence. The accused, Shehzad, reportedly stabbed Saif, causing severe injuries, including damage to his thoracic spine.
