They have urged multiplex chains to ensure fair showcasing rather than favoring one film over the other,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.
The source added, “Thamma is distributed by PVR Inox, and a senior executive from PVR Inox has recently joined Team Thamma as head of distribution.
The Deewaniyat team has appealed to all national multiplex chains to prioritize audience demand instead of allowing internal industry dynamics to influence screen allocation.”With advance bookings for both films opening on October 17, there is mounting pressure on national chains to favor Thamma. “Dinesh Vijan and the former PVR Inox executive are reportedly pushing for 75% of shows for Thamma, leaving just 25% for Deewaniyat.
