However, filmmaker Rahi Anil Barve, who is reportedly directing the film, has seemingly dismissed these rumors. When asked about Shraddha’s potential exit, Barve told Bombay Times, “These are all rumors. Everything is a rumor.” While he did not confirm or deny her departure, he cryptically added, “Right now, all I can say is that I’m finishing Rakt Brahmand. I am working on my next.
That’s it. ”Earlier reports from Bollywood Hungama indicated that Shraddha had requested a fee of Rs 17 crores, along with a share of the film’s profits, which would make her one of the highest-paid actresses in Bollywood. However, a more recent report from PeepingMoon suggested that Ekta Kapoor found this amount too steep, especially given the challenges faced by women-led films at the box office.
As a result, the film’s budget may have been affected, prompting the producers to search for a new lead actress. The report mentioned that the makers are currently in discussions with several top actresses to take on the role. In the meantime, Shraddha is reportedly exploring multiple projects and is in talks with notable producers such as Dinesh Vijan, Boney Kapoor, and Bhushan Kumar.
A formal announcement regarding her next project is anticipated within the next two months. While there has been no official confirmation from Shraddha Kapoor or Ekta Kapoor’s team, director Rahi Anil Barve is focused on completing his upcoming web series, Rakt Brahmand.
