Sikandar Box Office Day 2 (Early Trends): Falls Short of Chhaava but Becomes 2025’s 3rd Highest Bollywood Grosser

Salman Khan and A.R. Murugadoss’ action thriller Sikandar finds itself in a challenging position at the Indian box office. Designed to capitalize on the Eid holiday, the film’s mixed reviews have dampened its potential success. Co-star Rashmika Mandanna unfortunately could not surpass the second-day collections of her prior Bollywood hit, Chhaava.

Not the Eid Feast We Expected

With an estimated budget of ₹200 croresSikandar was initially expected to rake in over ₹125 crores in its first three days. However, early trends indicate that the film managed to collect approximately ₹32-34 crores on its second day, marking a modest growth of 6-13% from its opening day earnings of ₹30.06 crores. Historically, Salman Khan’s films have performed exceptionally during Eid, but Sikandar is unlikely to secure a place among the top five Eid openings.

As it stands, the two-day total for Sikandar is estimated to be around ₹64.06 crores. The focus now shifts to its performance on the following day, which is a regular working day. If the film drops below 50% in collections, its prospects for recovery will look bleak.

Sikandar vs. Chhaava Day 2 Performance

In comparison, Chhaava, which earned ₹33.10 crores on its opening day, saw a significant jump on its second day, adding ₹39.30 crores to its total, which now stands at ₹72.40 croresSikandar is lagging behind by nearly 13%, making this margin particularly disappointing despite the Eid benefit.

Meanwhile on social media, Salman Khan’s film seems to be making waves, check the tweet:
