The release of the much-awaited film Sitaare Zameen Par, featuring Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh, is just under 48 hours away, and the excitement is palpable. According to sources, this anticipation might intensify as an intriguing teaser for an upcoming film will be attached to the movie’s print.
A source informed Bollywood Hungama, “The teaser for the next film from Aamir Khan Productions (AKP), starring Aamir’s son Junaid alongside South star Sai Pallavi, will be included with Sitaare Zameen Par. The film is ready for release, and Aamir and his team believe that Sitaare Zameen Par is the perfect platform to introduce it to a wider audience. Since Sitaare Zameen Par is expected to draw a large crowd, many moviegoers will get a glimpse of Junaid and Sai’s film.”
There are speculations that the Junaid Khan-Sai Pallavi starrer is titled Ek Din and is a remake of the Korean film One Day (2011), but this has yet to be confirmed.
Filmed during the stunning Snow Festival in Sapporo, Japan, the project promises to be a visual delight for audiences. Images of Junaid and Sai from their time in Japan were leaked during the shoot, which took place in early 2024. The love story began filming in December 2023 in Mumbai.
Earlier this year, reports suggested that Aamir Khan intended to release the film on Valentine’s Day. However, he opted to postpone it after the producers of Junaid’s debut theatrical venture, Loveyapa, decided to release their romcom on February 7, co-starring Khushi Kapoor.
The Junaid Khan-Sai Pallavi film is directed by Sunil Pandey. Interestingly, Junaid and Sunil have also collaborated on another project, titled Pritam Pyare, which is also produced by Aamir Khan Productions.
