Ajay Devgn is eagerly anticipating the audience’s response to Neeraj Pandey’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, but the actor has more exciting projects on the horizon. One of the most anticipated is the action-comedy sequel, Son of Sardaar 2, which will see Devgn reuniting with Sanjay Dutt. This time, Mrunal Thakur takes the lead role, stepping in for Sonakshi Sinha. Recent reports suggest that Son of Sardaar 2 will feature an extensive supporting cast.
Filming for the sequel reportedly began on June 2, and it includes a mix of actors from the original film along with several newcomers. Among the new additions are Neeru Bajwa, Kubbra Sait, Deepak Dobriyal, Sharat Saxena, Roshni Walia, and Ashwini Kalsekar. Notably, Mukul Dev and Vindu Dhara Singh, who appeared in the first installment, will also reprise their roles.
In a statement to Pinkvilla, a source confirmed the details, stating, “Son of Sardaar 2 is poised to be a strong family entertainer, and the makers have assembled a fantastic ensemble cast. The plot revolves around quirky characters, with humor stemming from their dynamic interactions. The casting team focused on selecting actors capable of executing the comedic sequences with conviction, ensuring a delightful experience for audiences in 2025.”
Additionally, the film will be shot across two continents, primarily in Scotland, where filming is set to continue until the end of August. Following the international shoot, production will shift to Mumbai, with further filming planned in various North Indian cities.
Though specific details remain under wraps, audiences can look forward to the enjoyable chemistry between Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt on screen.
