Actress Urvashi Rautela has publicly apologized for her insensitive remarks regarding Saif Ali Khan’s recent stabbing incident, admitting her comments were “ignorant and insensitive.” While promoting her film Daaku Maharaj, Urvashi was asked to respond to the shocking news of Saif’s injury. Instead, she shifted the focus to her success and the expensive Rolex watch she received as a gift. Urvashi stated, “It is very unfortunate. Now that Daaku Maharaj has crossed ₹105 crore at the box office, my mother gifted me this diamond-studded Rolex, and my father gave me this mini watch. However, I don’t feel confident wearing them outside due to insecurity that anyone could attack us. Whatever happened to Saif was very unfortunate.
”Her remarks quickly went viral, leading to widespread backlash from netizens, who criticized her for being tone-deaf amid a serious situation. In response to the negative attention, Urvashi took to Instagram to express her regret in a lengthy note, which she later deleted. In her message, she addressed Saif directly, stating, “Dear Saif Ali Khan Sir, I hope this message finds you in strength. I am writing with a deep sense of regret and heartfelt apology. I was completely unaware of the gravity of the situation you are facing. I feel ashamed for allowing myself to be consumed by excitement over Daaku Maharaj and not acknowledging what you are going through.
”She further expressed, “Please accept my sincerest apologies for being so ignorant and insensitive. Your grace and resilience during this challenging time are truly admirable. I have immense respect for your strength.” Urvashi concluded by offering her support, stating, “If there is any way I can help, please do not hesitate to let me know. Once again, I am truly sorry for my earlier indifference. ”Despite her apology, Urvashi faced continued criticism from netizens, with many labeling her a “wannabe” and “attention seeker.” Check her statement as shared below:
