Following the triumph of “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania” and “Badrinath Ki Dulhania,” Varun Dhawan and Shashank Khaitan are joining forces for the third time in a new love story titled #SunnySanskariKiTulsiKumari. Unlike the previous collaborations where Alia Bhatt was also part of the project, this time, Janhvi Kapoor will be joining the film. This marks Varun and Janhvi’s second project together after “Bawaal,” and it reunites her with Shashank, who directed her debut film “Dhadak.”

Earlier, there were reports that the film would be a part of the Dulhania series created by Varun and Shashank over the years, with Janhvi stepping into Alia’s shoes as she is occupied with other projects. However, Karan Johar addressed the speculation in a statement on his Instagram account, stating, “Every morning I wake up to news that is not an official confirmation by Dharma Productions… would request members of the media to please not conjecture about the continuance of a franchise or the beginning of one! We will give details when the time and plans are formulated and fructified! We are humbled by the excitement shown to our future films but would love to have accuracy instead of speculation… Respectfully, Karan Johar.”
The Varun- Janhvi- Shashank film is scheduled for release on April 18th, 2025, and will feature music by Pritam and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
