Notably, the film will premiere for the first time in Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar. Yash Raj Films aims to commemorate this beloved love story by connecting with fans around the world during the re-release. Their mission is to evoke nostalgia through the film and its music, engaging audiences who have cherished it over the years. Special celebrations are planned in seven major cities, including Toronto, New York City, Melbourne, various cities in the UAE, Istanbul, and Singapore.

Their love story unfolds under extraordinary circumstances, leading to Veer’s wrongful imprisonment due to a false conspiracy. Two decades later, a determined young Pakistani lawyer, Saamiya Siddiqui (Rani Mukerji), takes on his case.
