Celebrating Ajay Devgn’s 55th birthday, fellow actor Akshay Kumar took to social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to extend a heartfelt wish for his fellow industry stalwart. The occasion comes with a tinge of competition, as Akshay’s film “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” is slated for a box office showdown with Ajay’s “Maidaan” on April 10. Akshay’s birthday message read, “My wish for you always, Kar har Maidaan fateh. Happy birthday brother, Ajay Devgn. Love and prayers,” cleverly referencing Ajay’s upcoming film in his well wishes.

The two actors have shared screen space in several films, including “Sooryavanshi,” “Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai,” “Suhaag,” “Insan,” and “Khakee,” and their camaraderie is well-known in industry circles. The duo is also set to collaborate on “Singham Again,” a star-studded film featuring Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, and Arjun Kapoor.

On his birthday, Ajay Devgn delighted his fans by releasing the trailer of “Maidaan,” a film that encapsulates the untold true story of SA Rahim and his #TeamIndia. The excitement for the film is palpable, with the final trailer receiving rave reviews.

“Maidaan,” which also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh, is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and co-produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios. The film is scheduled for release on April 10.

Akshay’s film “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” which is set to compete with “Maidaan” at the box office, also boasts of a stellar cast that includes Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, and Alaya F. The film is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Ali Abbas Zafar, and Himanshu Kishan Mehra under the banners of Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films.

Indeed, the 10th of April promises to be an exciting day for Indian cinema, with two major films clashing at the box office. It will be interesting to see how the audience reacts to these highly anticipated releases.
