Babil Khan has reacted to comments made by filmmaker Sai Rajesh, who criticized him following Babil’s Instagram videos where he expressed frustration with Bollywood and mentioned several actors. Babil, the son of the late Irrfan Khan, had initially deleted his Instagram account after posting the videos but later returned to clarify that his remarks had been “extremely misinterpreted.” He emphasized that he intended to praise the actors rather than criticize them.
In response to Babil’s videos, Sai Rajesh shared a lengthy note on his Instagram Stories, which was later deleted but circulated on Reddit. In his post, Sai expressed his disappointment, stating, “To Babil Khan’s team. Do you really think we’re that naive to just walk away silently? What kind of attitude are we being subjected to? It feels like only those whose names were mentioned in his video deserve respect, while the rest of us are just fools for standing by him all this while?”
Sai then stated that he felt he deserved an apology from Babil, saying, “If you’re making them feel valued just because he gave them a shoutout and ignoring the rest of us, then yes, we do deserve an apology for how things have been handled. I genuinely wanted to stand by him even until an hour ago. But if you’re taking us for granted, that stops here. These sympathy games won’t work on us anymore. A sincere apology is the least you owe us. Say it, and let’s move on.”Babil responded in the comments section, expressing his hurt at Sai’s remarks. He stated, “You really broke my heart. After everything I’ve given to you.
For two years, I dedicated my life and went through physical challenges to do justice to his character. I gave him my soul, rejected everything that came in my way, and lived in filth just to ensure he was happy with the character.” He added, “I slit my f****** wrist for him,” highlighting the sacrifices he made for the role. Following the release of Babil’s videos, his family and team issued a statement clarifying his emotional state. They noted, “Like anyone else, Babil is allowed to have difficult days — and this was one of them. We want to reassure all his well-wishers that he is safe and will be feeling better soon.
