The younger sister of actress Namrata Shirodkar, Shilpa made her acting debut in 1989 with Ramesh Sippy’s Bhrashtachar, where she starred alongside Mithun Chakraborty and Rekha. Over the years, she appeared in numerous successful films, including Kishen Kanhaiya (1990), Trinetra (1991), Hum (1991), Khuda Gawah (1992), Aankhen (1993), Gopi Kishan (1994), Mrityudand (1997), and Gaja Gamini (2000).After a 13-year break from the industry, Shilpa successfully returned in 2013 with the TV series Ek Mutthi Aasmaan, followed by Silsila Pyar Ka in 2016.
