Fans of the Jannat franchise have been eagerly awaiting news about a possible Jannat 3, and now the lead actor himself, Emraan Hashmi, has addressed the topic. In an exclusive interview with HT City, Emraan expressed his enthusiasm for the project and his willingness to be a part of it. However, he clarified that the decision ultimately rests with the Bhatt brothers, Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt.
Emraan acknowledged that for a sequel to happen, the Bhatt brothers would need to come together again, which he unfortunately doesn’t see happening. He emphasized the collaborative nature of filmmaking, stating that it requires the entire team to be on board. However, he did leave a glimmer of hope for fans by saying that if, by some stroke of luck or miracle, the Bhatt brothers do decide to make Jannat 3, it will happen.
It is worth noting that Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt went their separate ways in 2021. Currently, Mukesh Bhatt is running their banner, Vishesh Films, with his children, Sakshi and Vishesh. This adds another layer of complexity to the possibility of a Jannat 3.
In the meantime, Emraan assured fans that he has been keeping busy with other projects. He recently appeared in the web series Showtime and the film Ae Watan Mere Watan. In 2023, he made a powerful return to the big screen with Tiger 3, where he played the antagonist opposite Salman Khan.
Emraan is also set to make his acting debut in the South Indian film industry with Sujeeth’s action thriller They Call Him OG, alongside Pawan Kalyan and Priyanka Arul Mohan. Additionally, he has Goodachari 2, a Telugu-language spy franchise led by Adivi Sesh, in his pipeline.
While the fate of Jannat 3 remains uncertain, fans can still look forward to seeing Emraan Hashmi in various exciting projects across different film industries.
