Jawan Box Office: SRK’s Stellar Performance in the 1st Extended Week, Anticipation Grows for the Weekend aiming at the 500 Crores Mark

Jawan had a phenomenal extended weekend, grossing 347.98 crores. While 350 crores would have been a nice round number, the film’s performance is still simply terrific and an all-time high. It also sets a new benchmark for other big-budget films to follow. Previously, films aimed for lifetime collections of 300 crores. Now, they will need to aim for that much in their opening week, which will be very difficult to achieve.

Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film has seen a drop in collections during the weekdays. Ideally, the film should have maintained collections in the 22-25 crores range throughout, given its blockbuster opening. However, Thursday’s collections of 20.10 crores are still a huge number, but they represent a drop nonetheless. This means that the film is unlikely to reach the 600 crore club, and its target is now back to the 500 crore club.

To reach the 500 crore club, Jawan needs to gross at least 75 crores over the weekend. This will require significant growth on Friday and Saturday. In fact, the film cannot afford to fall further today, or it will be difficult to achieve high numbers on Sunday. If Jawan can grow today and collect 20 crores, it will have a better chance of reaching 500 crores overall.

Needless to say that Jawan has been phenomenal at the box office from the very first day with the collection reaching to around 125 Crores if you check the worldwide collection. You can check what the trade pundits have to say including the man called Taran Adarsh, check what he has tweeted announcing the fierce figures that he has been reporting in the social media.
