Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s much-anticipated Eid release, Sikandar, has had a lackluster start at the box office, especially considering Khan’s massive stardom and the pre-release hype. The film opened to mixed reviews, and as the Eid celebrations began to wane, so did its box office returns. After a decent performance in its first two days, Sikandar experienced a significant drop of 32.76% on its third day.
Despite being released on a Sunday, Sikandar managed to surpass the ₹50 crore mark within the first two days. The film earned ₹26 crore on Sunday, followed by ₹29 crore on Monday. However, on Tuesday, its earnings dropped to just ₹19.5 crore. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Sikandar’s nett collections in India after three days stand at ₹74.5 crore. On a global scale, the film has accumulated ₹95.75 crore, with approximately ₹30 crore coming from overseas markets. Interestingly, the production house reports that Sikandar has crossed the ₹100 crore mark in just two days.
Currently, Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava remains the highest-grossing Hindi film of the year, and Sikandar‘s performance indicates it may struggle to compete with Chhaava. In comparison, Salman Khan’s previous release, Tiger Zinda Hai, earned ₹45.53 crore on its third day, while Bajrangi Bhaijaan collected ₹38.75 crore. The makers were quick to share about it on social media, check the latest post on Instagram by Salman Khan films social media handle as under:
