Two days ago, media reported that a special screening of the classic film Sarfarosh (1999) would be held in Mumbai on May 10 to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The news quickly spread, generating a lot of excitement, especially with the confirmation that Aamir Khan himself would grace the screening, alongside Sonali Bendre and others. Now, an exciting update has emerged about this event. According to a source from Bollywood Hungama, at the event, Aamir and other cast and crew members of the film will reminisce about their experiences working on Sarfarosh.
Additionally, it is expected that Aamir will announce the sequel to Sarfarosh during the celebration. The source mentioned, “If not announce, Aamir will at least assure that the second part of Sarfarosh is in the works. However, it is not known if he’ll star in Sarfarosh 2.” There have been ongoing discussions about the sequel, with director John Matthew Matthan previously reported to be working on it. At one point, there were talks of John Abraham playing the lead role, but in 2020, John confirmed that he was no longer involved in the project. The 25th-anniversary special screening of Sarfarosh is organized by Radio Nasha and will also see the presence of John Matthew Matthan, Mukesh Rishi, Lalit Pandit, Naseeruddin Shah, Makrand Deshpande, Smita Jaykar, Manoj Joshi, Upasana Singh, Akhilendra Mishra, and Akash Khurana, in addition to Aamir Khan and Sonali Bendre.
