Ajay Devgn is having a jam-packed year in 2024 with consecutive film releases. In just five months, the actor has already seen the theatrical success of two films – Shaitaan and Maidaan. While the former was a box office hit, the latter, despite positive reviews, struggled to perform well. Additionally, Ajay has another film, Raid 2, lined up for release this year. Raid 2 serves as a sequel to Ajay’s 2018 hit film, Raid. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the movie features Ajay Devgn in the role of an IRS officer. Initially, the sequel was scheduled to release on November 15, but it seems that this plan may change. The year is brimming with numerous film releases, including big releases from both Bollywood and the South film industry. The festival dates have already been booked, and recently, the release date of Singham Again was postponed from August 15, 2024, to Diwali 2024. This decision was made to avoid a clash with Allu Arjun’s film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. In light of this, the release of Raid 2, which was originally slated for November 15, has been postponed to ensure that Singham Again gets ample screens. As per reports from Pinkvilla, Kumar Mangat Pathak, the producer of Ajay Devgn’s crime drama, may consider advancing the release date of Gupta’s film. The team has only ten days of shooting left, which they plan to complete by July. Post-production work will then commence, with expectations of wrapping up by the end of July.
Consequently, the makers are optimistic that Ajay’s film will be ready for an early release. While there has been no official confirmation from Ajay Devgn or the film’s team regarding any changes in the release date, it’s worth mentioning that alongside Raid 2 and Singham Again, Ajay also has ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ set to release on July 5, 2024. This film also stars Tabu. With a packed lineup of releases, Ajay Devgn’s fans have much to look forward to in 2024.
