Pushpa 2: The Rule, featuring Allu Arjun in the lead, has become one of the most highly anticipated films of the year, building up excitement with every asset revealed by the makers. The first installment, Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01, was a blockbuster nationwide, with the lead character and his mannerisms becoming a sensation. Consequently, there are high hopes for the sequel. Recognizing the potential of the second installment, the makers are going all out to ensure its success.

In a unique move, Pushpa 2: The Rule is set to release in Bengali, becoming the first Pan-Indian film to do so. Typically, Pan-India films have been released in five languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Pushpa 2: The Rule breaks this record by being released in as many as six languages in India. This exciting news was confirmed by renowned music composer Devi Sri Prasad.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Devi Sri Prasad shared, “In this edition, the story continues from where part one ended. It’s not like a franchise where the actors are retained but the characters are different. Here, we are continuing with the same characters. So, you’ll notice progress in the music. Even then, we tried to create something different from the past soundtrack.”

He further mentioned, “Additionally, this time, we are making the film in Bengali, so we had to work on it in six languages. It took me over two months to compose the songs as I had to collaborate with lyricists in each language.”

There were reports a week ago suggesting that popular singer Timir Biswas would be involved in the Bengali version, either as a voiceover artist or singer. However, when contacted, Timir clarified that he has not yet come on board for the project.

Meanwhile, the makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule recently shot a grand underwater sequence. Polish cinematographer Miroslaw Brozek, responsible for capturing the film’s visuals, shared an intriguing image from the set on Instagram. When a curious fan asked if they were shooting a boat sequence, Brozek simply replied, “Underwater.”

Pushpa 2: The Rule is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 15, 2024. Fans are eagerly awaiting the film’s arrival, eager to witness the continuation of this captivating story.
