Actor Pratik Gandhi is eagerly anticipating his collaboration with Harry Potter star Tom Felton for the much-anticipated series, Gandhi, directed by Hansal Mehta. Pratik is set to commence shooting with Tom in London in June, expressing his belief that the international cast will extend the story’s reach to a broader audience. The recent announcement revealed Tom’s inclusion in the cast of Gandhi, alongside seven other actors – Libby Mai, Molly Wright, Ralph Adeniyi, James Murray, Lindon Alexander, Jonno Davies, and Simon Lennon. Tom, renowned for his portrayal of Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter film series, is already filming for the project in London.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Pratik shared, “I am thrilled to have these international stars on board for the project. I will be joining the team in London in June and July. I am genuinely looking forward to meeting the entire team and collaborating with them. Given the significance of the subject of Gandhi, Pratik emphasized the necessity of these collaborations to bring the story to a wider audience, ensuring authenticity through the involvement of international actors. Pratik commenced shooting for the series in February, filming in locations such as Mumbai and Gujarat. Teaming up with Hansal again Pratik shares a strong bond with Hansal, which blossomed after the success of the streaming series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story.
Their collaboration on the upcoming series is described as a “dream team” by Pratik, who expressed his pleasure in working with Hansal once again. He highlighted that the series will shed light on untold stories related to the life of Mahatma Gandhi, promising fresh perspectives and insights for the audience. Pratik’s recent work includes the film Do Aur Do Pyaar, in which he starred alongside Vidya Balan, Ileana D’Cruz, and Sendhil Ramamurthy.
