Stree 2 premiered nearly two weeks ago, yet the buzz around the film continues to thrive. Recently, lead actor Rajkummar Rao shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the set, showcasing him in a female persona, dressed in a sparkling purple sequin skirt, a red top, and a golden shrug. In his caption, he expressed that this was one of his favorite scenes from the film, though it unfortunately didn’t make the final cut. He left fans curious by not revealing any details about the scene itself.

Bollywood Hungama has uncovered intriguing details regarding this omitted scene. According to a source from the film’s unit, it involved Rajkummar’s character, Vicky, cross-dressing to lure the villain, Sarkata, who specifically targeted women. This risky maneuver showcases Vicky’s determination to confront the threat.

The source further explained, “Jana (played by Abhishek Banerjee) is also part of this scene and hilariously fails to recognize Vicky, mistaking him for someone else, which adds to the comedic element.” Another insider mentioned that there’s a moment when Vicky’s heels break, heightening the chaos, along with some humor surrounding his wig.

In his Instagram post, Rajkummar Rao engaged his followers by asking, “Kya aap log dekhna chahte hain ye scene film mein? Aap sab batao.” Lead actress Shraddha Kapoor enthusiastically chimed in, suggesting that this scene should definitely be included in the final cut. Writer Niren Bhatt also expressed his desire for an extended version of the film.

Now, it remains to be seen whether this scene will be incorporated into future prints of Stree 2. One exhibitor noted, “It’s common for filmmakers to make adjustments after a film becomes a hit. They might cut scenes or songs if the film feels too long, and then later add the deleted portions back in once the film is well-received.” They pointed out examples from previous films, such as the addition of a song featuring Akshay Kumar and Govinda in Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014) and a sensual song with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in De Dana Dan (2009), both of which were added shortly after their releases.
