Kangana Ranaut is currently on a promotional tour for her upcoming film Emergency, and she hasn’t held back in her criticism of Bollywood. Describing the industry as a “hopeless” place, she claimed that it has a tendency to sabotage the careers of actors it feels threatened by. In an episode of The Bombay Journey With Mashable India, Kangana emphasized that her issues are primarily with Bollywood, stating that the general public appreciates her talents, as evidenced by her electoral victories.
Kangana made a pointed allegation against the industry, asserting that Bollywood actively works to destroy the careers of those it perceives as talented. She expressed her frustrations, saying, “Bollywood is, honestly, a very hopeless place. Nothing will happen with them. They are jealous of talent. If they see someone talented, they go after them to ruin their career. They engage in terrible PR campaigns to tarnish their reputation and boycott them from the industry.”In a separate interview with Siddharth Kannan, Kangana also discussed her decision to turn down roles offered by leading stars like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Ranbir Kapoor.
