Pushpa 2, featuring Allu Arjun in the lead role, is experiencing a historic run at the Indian box office. The film has achieved remarkable success, crossing the 800 crore mark and becoming the third film to reach this milestone in the domestic market, following the legendary Baahubali 2 and KGF Chapter 2. With its impressive earnings and strong audience turnout, Pushpa 2 shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Unprecedented Buzz and Footfalls

Since the announcement of the Pushpa sequel, it was clear that the film would generate significant box office numbers. The anticipation surrounding the release mirrored the hype of Baahubali 2, and the film has lived up to its expectations by shattering numerous records domestically. With its current trajectory, Pushpa 2 is on track to become the second film to enter the 1000 crore club in net collections.

In a remarkable achievement, Pushpa 2 surpassed 4 crore footfalls in India within just 11 days of its release, as reported by Sacnilk. This is a noteworthy feat, as only two films—RRR and KGF Chapter 2—have surpassed 4 crore footfalls in the post-COVID era, with their admissions recorded at 4.40 crore and 5.05 crore, respectively.

Dominance at the Box Office

As of 2024, Pushpa 2 has become the first film to cross 4 crore footfalls in the Indian box office landscape, outpacing Kalki 2898 AD, which garnered 3.30 crore footfalls. The film is expected to continue its strong performance, potentially surpassing the footfalls of RRR and closing in on KGF Chapter 2 as it runs through mid-January 2025.Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 also features Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna in pivotal roles, and is being screened in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
