“The Archies,” indeed is the most awaited films to be released on Netflix soon. Finally, its trailer released this Thursday showcasing a couple of newcomers including Agastya Nanda, SRK daughter Suhana Khan, and Khushi Kapoor to name the precise. Based in the beautiful hill station called Riverdale, the film has an interesting story to explore taking down some romantic escapades of its ensemble cast. “The Archies” happens to be teen-musical film, which has been adapted from the American comic book series having the same name. It is produced under the banner called Tiger Baby Productions and helmed by Zoya Akhtar, while the film is set in the sixties of India, where Archie and his friends are indulged into romance, friendship, and the future of the hill station- Riverdale amid the looming threat of developers seeking to demolish a beloved park.

The cast as is interesting in the film and it includes Agastya Nanda as Archie Andrews, Khushi Kapoor as Betty Cooper, and Suhana Khan as Veronica Lodge. It is slated to stream on December 7, while the others in the star cast include Vedang Raina as Reggie Mantle, Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones, Dot as Ethel Muggs, and Yuvraj Menda as Dilton Doiley.

Interestingly, the film “The Archies” marks the Bollywood debut of several lead actors, including Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, and Agastya Nanda, who is the grandson of Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan.

Addressing criticism about the casting choices, Zoya Akhtar responded to questions during the Netflix global fan event TUDUM in Sao Paulo, Brazil, earlier this year.
